If you too are a foodie, cast your mind back. I was five and my earliest memory of food tempting my senses, beyond a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, was on a train trip across Canada from Vancouver to Montreal. It was a half an avocado filled with shrimp in a thousand island sauce. Then at twelve, what really excited my palate, was a silky smooth Alfredo fettuccine at Alfredo's in Rome. Maybe it was the way it was served, by Alfredo himself with the gold fork and spoon given to him by Actors, Mary Pickford, and Douglas Fairbanks.
Here I hope to tempt your senses and palates with a smattering of restaurant reviews without reservations and recipes from my Chef's Table... cooking at home for two.
